| | 1. I am using Netscape and the website does not work smoothly. Currently the site is optimized for Explorer, although many functions are intact
in Netscape
2.Are we planning to remain free or will there be a membership fee after a while? Yes. We will be honest here. Charter members will maintain free membership for as
long as there is interest and as long as this site exists in supporting this online community. After that, for a while and depending upon how rapidly new members join,
we will maintain the site for free for all those that keep joining. However, a fee is planned in the future because it costs
significant money to keep a site like this operational, especially with the advanced communications features we already have (like video chat) and are planning to include as this community grows.
In addition, we plan to run naughty contests for your pleasure....this obviously costs money for nice travel package awards and other prizes.|
3. Why can't I get Instant Messenger(IM) or Chat to work? The Chat program resides on our server, and your computer does not affect how that operates. However, there is some interaction with
your browser (like Internet Explorer). If you use AOL as your internet service provider, you must open Internet Explorer or similar browser to use Chat. Chat will
NOT run if you try to access it directly through the AOL browser. Also, if you have a Google or Yahoo toolbar , or any other pop-up blocker, please
temporarily turn them off while using Chat. Other wise Chat will not run properly.|
4.How do I post photos? After you submit the
profile and are awaiting confirmation, or after you are activated, you may submit photos. The first is a small thumbnail pic which
is visible on your profile page and in the search results page, the rest come up in a separate window, larger in size,
after clicking on view more photos of... on the profile page. You can add or delete photos on your own profile at any time
through the my account or my profile pages. To the left on either of those pages is a list of menu items which
includes upload photos. Click on that and you will see a new page come up with instructions at the top. Please respect the
rules regarding the first thumbnail pic. Don't worry about the size of the photos your are uploading.....they are resized to
our template for you. All you have to do is click browse and find the photo on your computer (wherever you keep your
photos on your computer). Then click upload when the file name with the photo is visible next to the browse button.
At that point give it some time. With a fast connection it may take several seconds, but with a dial-up connection, it may
take a few minutes for the file to upload, depending upon how big the photo file is. If ALL of this fails, email the photo to us
and we will install for you. However, we ask that you not jump to this option before trying. Give it a try.. Good luck!
